Context

What is Rainbow ?

Rainbow is a comprehensive communication and collaboration platform designed by Alcatel Lucent Enterprise to streamline business operations and enhance team productivity. Offering a suite of unified communication tools, Rainbow enables users to communicate seamlessly across various channels, including instant messaging, voice calls, video conferences, and file sharing. With robust security measures in place, businesses can trust Rainbow to safeguard their sensitive data and communications, fostering collaboration through features like group messaging, screen sharing, and integration with popular productivity tools, thus empowering organizations to stay connected and productive in today's dynamic work environment.

The problem

Today, it's possible to invite external participants (who don't have a Rainbow account) to a chat and start a call with them. However, this only works through a public link available to consult the conversation. There is no way to truly invite someone by their email and plan a meeting with them.

Our solution

HybridPlanner allows you to invite your Rainbow contacts as well as guests by their emails when planning a meeting. Guests will automatically receive reminder emails and a link to a waiting page. When the meeting starts, the conversation is automatically created, the call is initiated, and guests in the waiting rooms are added to the call.

Development

Project management

We used a Github Project to manage our user stories. We planned sprints and attented to Scrum events.

Tech stack

Backend used Nest.js and Prisma, while the frontend was made using React and TailwindCSS.

The result

On January 19, 2024, we went to the company headquarters to pitch our project in front of +200 ALE employees.
